Default Office home and student 2007

Hi All My daughter went out and bought said software, loaded it, but it wont 'open'. while I was out she rang Microsoft, they took over the installation from their end said it would take arrox 20mins to load up, they said bye bye because they were going home. Afterwards ...

Hi All
My daughter went out and bought said software, loaded it, but it wont 'open'. while I was out she rang Microsoft, they took over the installation from their end said it would take arrox 20mins to load up, they said bye bye because they were going home. Afterwards tried again and it still will not 'open'. You can here it trying to open but doesnt. Any ideas people, would appreciated any help/advice. thanks all

I'd say take it back get a refund and download OpenOffice instead it's a free version of office and does pretty much the same job. You just have to remember to save the files in the correct format.

It is installed on the system but is unable to open then?

Hi Historygirl
Sorry 4 delay (been working) Unfortunately we bought it from Argos and they do not refund on computer programmes. We rang up microsoft (cost a fortune), in the end we got it working under 'a new account' on my computer, works perfectly now. They said there was something wrong with my device manager and it was blocking something!!!! I havent got a clue wot he was on about.....at least after spending £100 it works but will use this forum more in the future and get more advice from you experts!!

Glad you have it working now. It could possibly be that it wasn't installed under the administrator account on the computer.
