I have to do a data base for class and I don't have Microsoft access. Someone told me that you can use open office to create a data base and microsoft access can open it. Is this true? please help...

Yes, OpenOffice includes somethign called Base (unless the name has changed) which is the equivalent to Access and according to the site includes MS Access support (which FYI is a broken SQL)

yea, open office can open Microsoft office documents and save them as Microsoft office formats.
