| Is there any software that can open and edit word documents without buying and installing office? ie: like linux's openoffice but for vista? Thanks. |

| Also, if you just want to read .doc, .xls and .ppt files, Micro$oft provide stand-alone readers on their web site. openoffice screws up on word documents that have version control enabled as it doesn't do version control.
