I use Office 2003 and in the past two days I have encountered a problem when I try to reply to emails received in Outlook. When I hit the REPLY button, a small window opens saying, "Starting Microsoft Office Word 2003 as your email editor..." Then the machine just hangs up! I have tried restoring to dates over a week ago, but it still happens. Any help gratefully appreciated.

  1. From the main Microsoft Outlook window, click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.
  2. Select or clear the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.
