I am looking for a program that will read writing or typing and transcribe it to a word doc,
I have found some like it but it is only designed to search out words of a photocopy. window or linux is fine. |

Traditionally one would get Omnipage. It'll accept either a photograph of a page or a scan if you have a scanner. It will give you a Word document laid out with the same content and the words will all be in text instead of graphics. 200dpi is conventionally the lowest resolution that can be handled, 300 may be adequate, 400 is good.

That, I think, accurately answers the question but it may well be you have further constraints. If you say what they are we can go into further detail. My System: Tim

I just want a program that will take a photo of any wording from book, newspaper, print hand writing and place it on a word doc for me that way I can run a text to voice if i want and trance scribe some of my written journals. Like some fax to email providers do transcribe the stuff for you but don't need the fax part.

There we go then. Omnipage is perfect for that.
