Default "Preparing to install"...microsoft office every time i open IE7!!

Hi,
As i'm not sure if this is a virus or not I would appreciate being reconneced to the appropriate forum if so.
I recently discovered that when opening IE7, another window will ALWAYS pop up, saying "preparing to install..." and the window being entitled Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003. It then tries to gather required information, but fails, and error message comes up saying:
"Error 25090 Offce Setup encountered a problem with the Office Source Engine, system error: -2147023838. Please open C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1033\SETUP.CHM and look up "Office Source Engine" for information on how to resolve this problem."
I follow these instructions, and am prompted to use administrative priveleges to enable me to go on services and applications, from where i can enable the office source engine if it has been disabled. It is indeed disabled, so i set it to start automatically.

However, upon restarting the computer, it was disabled again, so I think this must be the problem.
Sorry for the long post, but could anyone help me solve this annoying problem?
Thanks, Luke

It's not a virus, uninstall office via the add/remove programs in control panel and reinstall.

You could always borrow a CD and use your licence number, that is perfectly leagal.

You must have some recovery CDs?

The trouble is that I orderered it over the internet, and it was shipped over I believe. Therefore it makes the whole process harder. Why does this 'preparing to install' message only come up when i open microsoft progams (IE7, msn, etc.)?

Because IE is using a part of office that isn't installed properly.

Ok, well it looks like I might be in luck - my housemate may have a Microsoft Office 2003 or Windows cd...so that should be good
