HI I am starting a course in March and am doing it online so have been trying to make myself familiar with microsoft word. I have microsoft office word 2007, it was already installed on my Sony Vaio laptop. I am not able to use the program as it requires a product key. I typed in the product key number at the bottom of my laptop but it says that it is incorrect. Where can i find the correct key?

It will be on the CD case that came with the CD, if not then on some docs that came with the laptop.

If it was pre-installed it may have been a trial.

Could try openoffice, it's free, Google it.

The key on the sticker on your Laptop is for Windows, not Office, so that is of no use.

Many Laptop manufacturers put a trial version of Office on the machine, which only lasts for a short while .... once expired, you will need to purchase a license/code from Microsoft.

Alternatively, you may qualify for the Student edition.

You may also need to Validate it. Go HERE and look under Genuine Office.

You can also check the Product Activation page.
