Can't update avatar

Get the following error on trying to update avatar:

"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file"


EDIT: It is giving me the error when trying to remote link to an image. The upload facility worked.

Cheers, I've just tried it another 3 times and the error is still appearing each time. The upload facility works fine, it's just the remote linking.
