It's strange how it's boxing day there's thousands of posts of things like:

"I just got a new PC, it's not working.."
"My new iPod doesn't seem to sync properly.."
"I bought a new TV, and theres no sound..."

etc.. everyones suddenly got new things, that don't work..

hmm..

Oh!! It must be christmas!!

Too true.

A great IT teacher once told me "Theres no such thing as 'The PC just did it Sir!' as computers only do what they're told" which is so true, obviously theres some stuff we don't know we've told it to do, but we still have by installing the OS or a particular application that has come with those instructions to be ssued under certain circumstances.

My mum will never understand.

Yes, one day maybe they will invent a computer for the stupid, that do things like instead of just the one "Are you sure you want to Exit?" boxes, there will be millions!! (like those annoying websites..) So that people eventually give up and don't close it :P
