I'm on my slow computer now and everything is loading the same for me which is fairly fast still. It might be more of an issue on the users end then it is on the site.

Dave

New site about 1 second - old site about 5 seconds. Using FF.

BTW just had some kind of time-out on the old site. All I got was a blank page for about 1 minute - refreshed but no response. Eventually came back up though.

Ok, that confirms things further.

Just realised after days of building I cant import the old content to the new site, so I have to fix this one.

Back to the drawing board.

All my data points to the new site being much much faster, which as it is smaller in size and the code is cleaner makes sense. But others are saying the opposite. Bizzare.

Also 23s to load? Where the hell do you live ?
WA/USA, so pretty far away. Like I said though, think it's a backbone issue.

Hi Dave,

Just noticed you have been playing...

Not sure if you are aware but the forum is showing slightly different where as I used to be able to log in and see the forum stats at the bottom of the page as show in the image link > here - but now I only see this much > here
(Posted them as links to keep thread tidy)

Not sure if this related to what you have being doing or not, but thought I should point it out to you just in case it is.

Thanks, I have had to uninstall all the add-ons. Clean all the files and database up.

Then I will be upgrading to the latest version, then completely rebuilding the template for the new version, then adding a few add-ons back.

It's going to be ongoing over the weekend. So avoid posting too much as the database might roll back a few times. But, as you can probably see it is faster and should stay that way and even get better when the new template validates.

Please bare with me as this is all a weeks worth of solid work for me and I'm pulling some crazy hours to get it done in like 1-2. Thanks for the support.
