About 2.5s on the CJ page and 1.5s on the other. Still seems to be a lot of latency, but since it's US -> UK I suppose that's to be expected and the other one has more hops.

The main page is 9.5s for me now and userCP is 6s. There also seems to be an intermittent bug with the usercp where it refreshes again after loading for some reason. I've never been able to reproduce it but it's popped up once in a while.

ok thanks, i use all these testers but real results are in the people.

Going to get the full site up on the US server for some more testing tomorrow I think before I make a decision.

Cheers.

Scrub that, will probably have it all cloned to the other sever shortly.

Carbon, seeing as you are reporting the biggest issues I hope you don't mind being my guinea pig.

Qwest DSL, 1.5mbps iirc. Not that fast but other stuff loads a lot quicker!

This is basically a clone of what we have here, but on a US server, what is is like for everyone compared to currently.?

It is important you have your say as moving to the US will probably impact them in a positive way but I need to be sure and also that we do not make it slow for other country's, like the UK.

How does it compare to currently, I expect it to be sloer as you are UK based and the new server is US.

I'm just trying to gauge if the US server will benifit US users and not impact UK too much.

Thanks.

It feels considerably slower for me here than the UK based one.

Saying that it's not bad either. TBH I don't know if I would of noticed the difference normally.

What we need, is one database server on a nice fast pipe, and then a webserver in both the US and the UK, which can serve up the images nice and quickly :):)
