Hey, just an idea really there may well be a reason thers not or you prefer it without or whatever.
But I just thought maybe there could be a Cooling section under the hardware subforum? It just occurred to me that a lot of posts are made about fan issues, heatsink problems, watercooling, and SW's new fancy thing, that may be enough to warrant a seperate place..

Basically, it is a fine line between having enough forums that things stay well organised, and having too many forums, that are then always empty.
I am sure Dave will be along eventually, but if he doesn't reply then basically theres not enough threads to warrant a particular sub forum at this time.

I don't want to get too niche and have forums empty, I think case and the CPU forums cater for the respective fans ok for now. Thanks for the suggestion tho', always welcomed.

Ok, I guessed you'd respond something like that - because obviously you know better than I about the statistics of how many posts actually are made about what..
I was just speculating, thought it would be interesting to know

Well we can both see the same posts in the forums :)
The truth of the matter is that if visitors see empty forums, they consider it to be a dead forum, and don't stay. ie. If they came from Google, went into one forum and saw three posts, nothing of interest to them, they would then leave. But if they come and see one, really really really busy forum, there might be a lot to interest them, they reply to a couple of threads, and hey presto, you have a new posting member. I am a member on a one board, where they have basically just one forum, and that place is bustling like mad, with everyone posting. Yes it is majorly hectic, and impossible to find anything, and no organisation, but there sure is a lot of activity and regular posting, no doubt somewhat encouraged by that quick reaction just to reply to something because it is there.
