Hi there
I have placed an erroneous link by mistake on one of my posts, but there does not appear to be the usual EDIT button at the bottom of the message. I therefore seem to have no way of removing it and replacing it with the correct link ! I'm probably doing something stupid somewhere, but on all the other forums I use there is always an edit button to allow one to fix simple mistakes or spelling errors etc ! Best regards Richard |

The edit function is only available for a short time.
The post you are talking about is still in moderation. I will approve it now. It is best to add a new reply addressing the issue as someone may have already read the post and may not realize you edited it. |

You can edit a post up to 15 minutes after submitting it.
The time limit is (I think) mainly due to what I said about editing. If someone already read the post, they in most cases will not realize you edited it. By adding a new post they are then given notice via email that there is a new reply. Therefore alerting them to the updated information. Hope this helps. |

LOL, the old... "other forums don't do it".
