Yeah it will probably get abused a bit.
But 99% of new members coming for help rather than to help will set it right, which helps the people who do give help asses how technical to get. Or thats the plan...

Maybe it would be better if people had to actually type in a word that described their skill level, with a limit on length etc.
That way, people would probably be more honest, rather than just choosing advanced by default.
