Summer camp we're let loose on some light machine guns, and if you are really lucky (like I have been) you get to kick some serious ass with a Browning .50 machine gun brought in by the army. No joking, this beast will take out an engine block in a car from hundred of metres away, in one shot (the US Police use them for purposes like this).

They will also flatten a typical 4 bedroom house to a pancake with a few hundred shots (fired of in a very short period of time )

I have also seen a similar gun used to shoot a deer at probably 1.5 kilometres.

We also have a collection of shotguns, which are always useful to have around the farm, and a rabbit exterminator, basically a suped up .22 with a silencer and a scope like a tv screen Much fun.
We get the A2 soonish as well.. although they keep delaying it. Whereabouts in the country are you? (You don't have to answer.. I was just wondering seeing as I'm in as well, you're right, it is a great thing. )

Yeah, us Brits call it the L1A1, technically it's still an M2, it's just commissioned under a different name.

I'm jealous of you guys "over the pond" being able to own weapons as freely as you are.. I can't remember who said it, but whoever said about our guys with tasers and our law gradually changing - I think you're right.

The law has even started to change on air guns, as the years go buy you're allowed more and more punch without a licence. And the law for carrying them is getting more leanient. If you're 14 or over and you have good reason for carrying it, ie. going somewhere authorised for its use, and it's concealed, you can go for it.

You used to have to be over eighteen and you wern't allowed it on your person at all - in a vehicle or on private land.

The next step will be the public wondering around with tasers, then the police will need live rounds to prevent people just tasing them, then the public will carry as well. Then the government will change our countries name to "New America" You steal our place names we steal yours

my grandpa owns a 30-30 a marlin model 336 i think...he also has a couple of .22 winchesters, one of which is scoped and he also has an old blunderbuss. the gun i want most at the moment is a FG42, its a german automatic rifle. 20 round side mounted clip. 550m effective range, 760m/s muzzle velocity. uses 7.92mm ammo
I meant 35 bucks each lol, sorry for the confusion. I can believe they used some as sniper rifles. We pulled them out of the box the were shipped in, wiped the cosmoline they had been stored in for 30 years or so and my brother nailed the bullseye with the first shot. those were some of the straightest shooting rifles I've used. AT the time though, it was almost as long as I was tall.

EDIT: Funny how things work Ollie, over here they are raising hell about the cops having tazers because the wacked out druggies, amped up on meth need a couple of jolts to put them down and a few have died. I'm somewhat of a neandrathal in that i think that anyone who attacks a cop deserves whatever he gets..........

I'd agree. If you're that bloody stupid you should take the consequence, it's your own stupid fault

That's crazy. The nazis killed the innocent (although arguably there were probably many criminals among those - but they wouldn't of known who.) and assaulting or murdering a police officer is a crime, so calling someone a nazi for saying that for assaulting someone you should take the consequences is stupid.

It's like saying you're a nazi because you say stealing a teacup is wrong...

There are some stupid people out there.

This has got to be the best site on the net.
I come here to get my computer straightened out and get to talk GUNS too?
Hell Yeah!
I would maybe fall in the ‘gun nut’ category. I enjoy many aspects of shooting and owning.
Former USMC. Expert Rifle.
Small collection of pistols rifles shotguns.
Done a little reloading.
CC G19.
Got a hand full of AK’s, hand full of Glocks.
Other “misc.” ….stuff…

Im going to try to get up here one year:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIZpCLvXsoM

Looks like a good time, shooting all day, party all night in the campground.
I understand a lot of people roll into the camp in 2 ½ and 5 ton military trucks. Nice.

I will let you play with the big guns I will stick to the small one like the new Remington Model 597 that I purchased for 25.00 two years ago. Back when I was sell them for a store. Some one came in and purchased that gun then returned it because the bolt would not close. Was sent back to Reminington they sent it back to the store I work for. Remington said there was nothing wrong with it the store would not sell it thinking there was something wrong.
Problem when the clip is in and all shots (7) are shot bolt stays open so you don't damage the firing pin. Just in the right place at the right time. Got two old shot guns because there was no safty on them for $17.00 each and another 22 no clip for $15.00 . Now that store no longer sells guns. just my luck.
