Rush has a new album "Snakes & Arrows" and they'll be touring this year. I saw them when I was in high school, but haven't listened to them much lately.

I think I'll get the album. Does anybody here like the band?

I used to listen to them when I was in highschool myself. I had not realized that they were coming out with anything new. I will check it out. I enjoyed them before so I hope that their new music is just as good.

Rush is a three piece rock band from Toronto. I'm not sure how well known they are in other countries, but they're popular in Canada and regions of the US.

I just had a look at Wikipedia, and they say that Rush's 23 gold records and 14 platinum (with 3 multi-platinum) records make them one of the best-selling rock bands in history, placing fifth behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, KISS and Aerosmith for most consecutive gold and platinum rock albums.

I've also heard them described informally as "the most successful cult rock band" or something like that.

I have not heard that Thin Lizzy song in a long time. That was a good tune though. I had not realized that Rush was referred to as a cult type band. That was news to me.

Speaking of Thin Lizzy, I swear I saw them open a concert in the late 70s, but I can't remember who headlined. And this has nothing to do with partying...

I don't recall Emerald, by the name anyway. Maybe I'd know it to hear it.
