Default Any small business owners?

Is anyone here running their own business? If so, I'd love to hear how you got started, what support you had, and how you're doing now.

I am starting up my own business at the moment - I'm actually doing a government sponsored course, and if I pass, I'll get a grant at the end of it.

The course is a lot of hard work - the tutors don't pull any punches about your business idea, and really make you think.

I think that if I pass this, it will be a great foundation.

Default Any small business owners?

I started my company with about £200.

Went and got some flyers photocopied down the local office shop and went a delivered them my self.

Now ive grow to professional flyers and have someone else deliver around 25k a month.

It was hard but with hard work you can start a business from nothing.

I have much the same story as Dave started with very little and I'm still here 3 years later.

I've been very careful an cautious and the business has grown steadily but with a firm foundation.

2007 is going to be very exciting with new products and marketing etc.
