Default Is it better to buy protection plan when...

...buying an expensive (over $1500) HDTV? What if it is a well known brand?

Default Is it better to buy protection plan when...

I did on my plasma tv. I have a Pioneer which is the top of the line. If the picture ever got a dead pixel or just went bad or something failed it would come in handy. At the price your paying $200 is not a huge difference.
