I am planning on going to my couch and watching TV.

I spent many years working in retail (sales) so I avoid that day and shopping like the plague!

The fights and arguments I have seen and broke up............

In the US the day after Thanksgiving all of the retail stores bring in extra stock and mark down the prices to absolutely unbelievable prices. Normally electronics from computers (complete with monitor) to TVs, cameras, DVD players......

The only draw back is that most of the brands are names you have never heard of. But you can get an internet ready desktop computer for as little as $200.00.

The Black refers to the fact that the sales numbers for the year usually go from in the red (below expected numbers) to in the black (above projected numbers)

It is similar to when a highly awaited game goes on sale and people line up around the building at midnight to be sure and get their copy.

Arguments, fights and arrests are not uncommon.

lol, if only....

It's usually middle aged women!!!!!!!

They aren't above hijacking things out of someone else's shopping cart.

I've had teenage sales clerks/cashiers break out in tears and walk off of the job because it so demanding on that day. It really is a circus.

LOL PC world sucks.

I see no point in ever buying an off-the-shelf, when it's cheaper to build it yourself, and much more fun...

I like saying to myself "I want one of these" then going out, buying it, and adding it to my system... In a lot of cases this will void your warranty (spelling?) and if you're buying an off-the-shelf, you're likely to be relying on your warranty...

With reference (finally) to Black Friday, it's like the January Sales in the UK, but the other way around. The shops sell all the stock they have left over from the Christmas rush... Anyway, got to leave!
