Best idea is to go to work and work hard to get where you want to be......there are no get rich quick schemes, without long hours and hard work!

Well if you're a teenager you're already on your way to a good life/career. My best advice would be to ask many of your friends what they would want. What things interest them? What things would they change about a certain something? Ask questions, Ask questions, Ask questions.... and take notes most importantly!! Your new business idea won't come to you over night but with the help of others it might spark an idea. And with that you can change the world!!Take Care of Yourself and Have a Great Day!!

At your age you should look to set up for as little money as possible - be as creative as you can and go for it!Stick to something you know about or have an interest in to make it a success. Here are some links to help you get started, some are for 16 - 30 yr olds.http://www.princes-trust.org.uk/Main...3Ijg.htmlOrder the start up kit from this one it'll help you develop any ideas you have - http://www.shell-livewire.org/If you are under 16 then contact you local business link office to ask them about business support for under 16's in your area http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/permits etc will depend on what sort of business you start - but whatever you do you'll need to be committed and put in long hours. It'll all be worth it though. Good luck

What is that Dennis W. post about. Sounds like 1).a load of crap. and 2). like pyramid selling.
To answer the original question I am self employed building rally cars.I started out knowing that I wanted to do this type of work but began by repairing and servicing ordinary cars. Then I began to introduce the work I wished to do finally doing only that. I did always have an interest in motorsport. You need to know what you want to do preferrably something you are interested in. You may need to take a job in a different field at the beginning to start earning.. Then you need a job to gain the experience in your chosen field which may need certain qualifications to gain entry. If you are afraid of bloody hard work forget the self employed route to happiness.

Cool Can anyone offer some good business ideas to me?

I think the best business to start with is to launch a website. You can try to write about the subject you are interested in, and put some ads on your website, starting with Google adsense for example or any other reknown ads agency. Ok you're net 18 yet, but somebody you trust can open an account for you and then you can start earning. Just try to make your content original and consistent, and who knows, may be someone will be interested in putting ads on your website. You don't need to start with a professional webhosting, try a free hosting and use a free script like wordpress. Believe me, if you work hard, you will be successful ;) . Just avoid "Get Rich Quick" programs!

I am running across quite a few successful teens on the net. Find something you like and work at it.

Also, do not listen to patronising people that want to put you down. All to often you'll here things like:

"if it was that simple everyone would do it"
"what makes you think you'll be any different"

Things like that. Most of all, make sure you enjoy it
