Lol.

That is pretty damn funny.

40 mins to write an email, with the intuitive new wheel. 'Everything is only a few hundred clicks away!'

I liked the new improved battery that gives almost 20 minutes of uninterrupted use.

On a serious note, how long do you think until a completely voice activated computer will be affordably available?

When people can be bothered to train them....

I am sure that's the reason why more people don't use voice recognition typing software, I spent probably 10 hours training it, but being able to write at 250 - 400 wpm depending on how fast you talk is priceless IMO.

I couldn't be bothered to train it for ages, then I did, and now I wouldn't want to write an essay without it.

In regard to voice recognition, the Vista one is surprisingly good. Having a scouse accent, few people can understand me let alone computers and I was surprised when it recognised about 95% of my words first time, a little training and its excellent!

@ Server and Razer: Really? I didn't realize they had had them that effective. I'm going to have to look into that. I could really turn out some articles then. I do the 2-4 finger typing thing, sometimes throwing ion a thumb or two as well.........

Yeah, they are pretty good. Go through the training a few times and learn the key words and you're good to chat at your PC like a blithering idiot all day long =D

My advice: Do Not use in school or public area =P

Learning to type properly is a very useful skill to have as well.

With practice 100WPM is easily possible on a cheap bog standard keyboard. I can regularly knock out 70WPM as long as my brain can think that fast :)

I'm 45 and arthritic lol. While you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, you can't if he doesn't want to learn. I've been meaning to learn to type longer than I've been meaning to learn all about computers..............

My wife can type faster than any secretary she has ever had, the keyboard sounds like a Gatling gun when she's on.
