| ...opportunities in the future, Business/Economics or Medicine? I just got accepted to UCLA and UC Berkeley and i am debating whether to major in business/economics or medicine. Which major provides higher paying jobs in the future and has a larger scope of opportunities and which one is harder? Please help if you know im desperate for an answer :) |

| i would say medicine, it is always changing, and with more people growing older, there will be a lot more need of doctors, nurses, and anything really. as long as you like lots of science math and learning new things, medicine would probably be better |

| I feel that medicine is the better choice. It pays real good money and you get to help a lot of people. In medicine you can work in a hospital, private office, school, country departments...etc practically anywhere. plus, we all know that medicine is going to be around forever and because improvements can always be made in that field. u have a much broader sense of where to work or what to do, u can be a doctor or work in health administration and hundreds of other areas. bus/econ is also good but it has greater risks because by luck you will make money, in medicine u r guaranteed to get a job. this is my opinion, and i hope it helps....good luck....PS- i have friends who go to Berkeley and they major in Medicine, they say it's a great program....so i wish u luck |

| Medicine is of course going to be "higher paying" at first. I feel business has more opportunities, but I'm not a fan of economics. Accounting is a good choice, as well as any type of Information system. "Harder" depends on your interests. I'm good at solving problems, but learned quickly when I was a physics major that I'm not good at calculus 3. I personally like business because there are endless business opportunities and you can always advance in business, but you might hit a brick wall in medicine. Also take into account grad school, you'll definitely need grad school with medicine, but you can put off grad school with business until you need or want to do it. It's all about your interests, pick something you'll enjoy doing for the rest of your life.
