Default deciding what HDD box to get

im having trouble finding what HDD box to get out of these

im looking for the following

a. to record programme and watch another programme meanwhile,(which all of them do!!!)

b. have a usb port because i have some movies on usb sticks and wish to play them back on the tv instead of watching them on my crappy pc monitor

c. maybe SD card slot or CF but im not bothered about this really

im looking at the Panasonic DMR-EX78

edit: also does the apple tv let me record programmes and also play movies from my usb stick

Default deciding what HDD box to get

I doubt whether the Panasonic will play movies off a USB stick, as the file format will probably be an avi, containing a divx. It's unlikely that Panasonic will have the codec needed to decode the divx.
