I think after bearing in mind your replies here I think it will be wise to give this a miss. I thoght it was too good to be true when I first read up about it but the more I think about it the more I think about potential problems too

Didn't mean to put you off, just wanted to make you aware.

It can be done, but ebay and the like are saturated and there are a lot of scammers.

Import clothing, trainers, electronics, DVDs etc basically anything branded are pretty much 99/100 times fakes, the seller will lie to get you to buy.

The big brands have proper distributers and they don't have websites or sell to small fry.

This forum has plenty of info. http://www.thewholesaleforums.co.uk/forum/

Just be careful and like anything, it would require many months of research and work to get a good return from it.

Importing say unbranded flash drives could work, importing ipods, not so much...

Thanks for the info Dave, Just had a quick peek at the forum and it looks about the best forum I have seen regarding wholesale/dropshipping and have seen a couple of interesting post to browse though.

Just damn it WOULD have to be an American..............

But on topic, keep us posted on how this endeavor works if you decide to try it. I'm always interested in a new way to earn some cash too.

At the minute its on hold! I have been doing a lot of snooping. From what I see its a very tough market for example DVDs are pushing out at a start bid of 99p on eBay lol not much profit margin to be made there once everything is taken into consideration! Also from what I see, most of what is dropshipped is unbranded products which I feel would be hard to shift on eBay after comparing various prices.

For the minute im going to improve and promote my own site more and im starting working with affiliate marketing. If I get a decent influx of visitors then I may involve a small shopping cart that is dropshipped and see how it goes from there.
