Not true. The guitar sound is based on your amp. Get the bullet. It is cheap and sounds great. For an amp, I would recommend a 30 watt Marshall or line 6spider 2 if you want to spend more. Whatver a
P you get don't get more than 50 and stay away from tube amps not worth the money. Don't buy distortion pedals or any pedals for that matter; you will regret it. If you have any questions feel free to ask |

i agree but im sure i can answer all your questions. the real difference between pro guitars and begginer is the potential of the guitar and the quality. cheaper(not price) guitars have more problems and tend to suck. but then again, its really how you use it. i personally think that all guitars sound better in lowr tunings. i ahve a guitar that is probably worth about 50 dollars, and i ahve it in drop A. when you say harder to hold a fret, that has to do with the action of the guitar, which is user- adjustable. all you need is a screwdriver. for strings i would highly recommend elixir medium nano web or poly web it doesnt matter. they might cost more, but i swear they last more than 10x longer than any other string. i used to get d'addario strings and theyrusted and snapped after a month of use. i have the same elixir string on my guitar for 2 years, yes 2 full years the same strings. and they sound and feel great, no rust at all. if you have any questions just ask them here.

Hi, I'm Sam Afinity is the cheapest range, not very good at all. Go with at least the standard if you are to get a Squire. I have been playing guitar (on and off) now for about 5 years. I have had countless guitars. I started off with the Epiphone les Paul Special guitar and I got on very well with it. Remember though, these are cheap guitars and won't come set up properly, (well most of the time) pay the £25 ($40) and get a pro to set it up.

alright, now i'm down with two choices :) a Squier Bullet Strat or an Epiphone Les Paul Special II. I personally think the LP Special is better but that is just me..and a problem, my local store seems to not have the LP Special..but the Bullet Strat is in stock..so i may get the Strat. but what do you guys think? a Strat or Les Paul? i play almost any genre. and what amp is good for home practice only? like 15-20W? Crate FlexWave FW15, Ibanez TBX15R or Line 6 Spider III 15W? or any other suggestions?

The line 6 Amp and the LP will do just fine.

except the LP is the most overrated and over-hyped guitar ever made. My friend has an epiphone les paul that was 800$. It is the biggest peice of crap guitar. Get the fender bullet. Its cheap and plays great. Personally i dont like either company. But the bullet is much better than an LP I would recommend an Ibanez, but they are more expensive. One more thing, you dont buy a guitar by looking at it. You go into the store and play it. My friend has that very same epiphone you are looking at. It hurts my leg when im playing it at my friends house. As for an amp, get the line 6 i have one and its always good. The distortion in very warm compared to Crate's very cold distortion which is better for metal if you play that.
