It wouldn't have been funny if it happened it would have been the end of the world But I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have been able to see anything happen, atleast not from anywhere but inside the actual machine, but inside, I'm pretty sure you could have seen a flash of light atleast, from the explosion of Anti-particles meating their real selves.

for some reason, i just cant see a "device" that can destroy the world. i guess im just not understanding the physics, and other scientific stuff involved.

Basicly, the machine was ment to create loads of little black holes, however these were ment to dissapear in nano seconds, however, if Hawkings was wrong, they would not dissapear, and would suck in the planet, and then the rest of the universe.

This is incorrect.

If they did not disappear, they would grow at an infinitesimal rate analogous to not growing at all and eventually disappear.

Black holes require mass, there is no mass in the LHC tunnel.
