You don't know if the world is going to end yet. The particle accelerator has been turned on, but the particles haven't been collided yet. When that happens, we will find out.

they haven't collided yet cuz they most likely ran out of gas money on that 17 mile long trip inside that tube...

Well the only good outcome is to see something similar to how the universe started. Why do we need to know if we're already so far ahead of that point. It's like trying to build a time machine...
