| try it with a dvd player or another source ... also i think things that have a large current draw have their own magnetic fields ... causing things like tvs and wireless telephones to crackle neer them so it may be coming from the mains plug or another source .... but try with a different source first

| An easy way to reduce background noise is to make sure the freeview volume is up full and use the LCD volume controls.

| yeah when the volume is up full you cant hear it atall, that is if you dont put your ear near the speaker that is, you can only hear background noise when the volume is low Last edited by robina80 : 29th Dec 2007 at 05:12 PM. |

| No you misunderstand, you have two volumes, one on LCD one on Free-view. For low volume you could if you wanted have the LCD up full and the Free-view on 1, this will give low volume but high interference/buzz because the LCD is maxed out. Reverse the combination so that the Free-view is fixed on full and use the volume on the LCD for day to day adjustment, the LCD will never need to be up more than half and should then create no buzz.

| Bugger, missed that. Same still applies though, getting an external would sort it.
