I have just been alerted to the amount of extremely damaging content which exists on Google Groups about me.

I had a look and am mortified, almost suicidal in fact. There are dozens of pages full of really personal info posted years ago under my own name on medical newsgroups before Google was even invented. I have a rare name and this explains a lot - why several prospective girlfriends have dropped me lately not long after learning my surname and avoided all discussion as to why. This kind of thing never used to happen to me. What a nightmare. I had no idea all this would even get shown up and I don't know how to get rid of it. God knows how many enemies and even friends have seen all this Moderator EDIT.

Anyone who was out to totally destroy me could hardly have done a better job.

I have tried before to get stuff taken off but found it almost impossible - archive list owners ignore my e-mails and Google say they cannot do it themselves. Now it turns out there is way more than I thought.

Please help.

(1) Not unlilkely at all - try Googling (!) and you will find 43% of people admit to doing this and that number has probably grown since the research was published

(2) Why do you say I am a troll? Not much of a welcome to this group. Pretty sums up modern life though - someone is suffering so let's kick them while they're down.
