Default how much should you charge when running a...

...cleaning business? I charge £12hr cleaning houses. I think this is cheap compared to some cleaning companies.I have to consider cleaning insurance,cleaning materials,petrol,tax ,insurance and pension.Do you think that this is a sufficent amount i live in the east of england?

Bottom line:

Calculate your overheads, living expenses, tax, how often you stock up, cost of stock etc. Then look at your margin.

If 12.00 is suitable then charge it.

Once you have enough clients at £12 to cover your expenses and living costs, start looking for others at £15.
