Nope. It is better to start out when your young, but you'd probably be okay in cheerleading or ballet. There are some people who don't try out for cheerleading until they're freshmen in High School anyways. It wouldn't hurt to try!

you're kidding right?... no you're not... most of the girl in my highschool didn't start until they were in highschool, with a few exceptions, just practice harder than anyone... if you wanna be better than all the others then just devote youself, anything can be accomplished over time!!

OMG! im in the same exact position as you are. Im trying out for my cheer team but im thinking that it could be a bit more difficult because it is better to do gymnastics or cheer or something that requires a lot of flexibility when you are little, but I dont think that is true. It is true that you will have to practice and strech and work more harder to gain flexibility. Like right now, Im working on my splits for over 4 weeks and Im getting closer and closer.Practice makes perfect whatever sport you want to do.
