I would say it may be some good for searching but if you are thinking of useing it for shopping don't be fooled by there bait and switch they play.
I was looking for a new computer and a friend said that bing .com had laptops for under $10. Now if it sounds to good to be true it is. So I did some searching and found that if you enter Laptop computers in there search box and then on the left hand side of the page where it has the price range click on $0 to $10. you will find four pages of laptops selling else where for over $400. for under $20. Now just by looking at that you know there is something wrong. I tryed it , Found a Compaq Presario F730US priced for $9.00 now I knew I would not get the laptop but had to try it anyways. Clicked on that laptop and was taken to a site called 4 all memory.com for they wont you to upgrade the memory . purchased new memory and that is all I got . 1 ram stick. So if you think you are getting something to good to be true you are. They shoud make the name bait and switch . Just so some don't think I am kidding I also tried one of there $799.99 laptops and found that you are misdrected to a site that dose not carry computers. One of the other computers I look at was a MSI priced at 19.99 when I clicked on the I was taken to a place that sold rubber ducks and could buy a case of rubber ducks for $19.99. And as for there cash back keep an eye on how they come up with the cash back to you. For the one I look at said 10% cash back but I only got 4% cash back. But after doing some math I found that your cash back total comes from what they say they are selling the item (laptop) for so in other words my cash back was not from the 19.99 but from the 9.99 they had on the laptop. like I said bait and switch. |

That said i think you are on about the shopping search or price comparison engine, which like all things can be gamed, bing should police it but it sounds like the retailers bending the rules to get traffic. My System: Hybr!d

Did somemore reading on there terms page . And that alone if you had the time to spend reading it all you would not sign up . But here is just some of it . They(bing) say they have no control on what vendors place on there web site . But if you (the one making the purchase ) do not follow the rules , then your account can be canceled and any money in that account will go to microsoft. Now who is kidding who.
In other words if they will make some money they can do it. |

Here is what it all comes down to . Was told this by a friend who has a site on bing. When it comes down to the dollar and you place an add on bing almost all large companys are looking at the amount of people that see there site .
And the possable sale for them that is all that matters to them. For if you get great service from them the next time you need something you will by pass bing and go right to the companys web site . To do your shopping. In a way it is helping the large company's that bing has misleading information about your cash back. For the more sales a large company get the higher there stock prices will go. So like my friend said it is all about the dollar that matters. |
