| macs have their high points. for instance. online gaming. i've seen a decent pc running sluggishly, with hiccups in the frame rates. the mac was smooth sailing maintaining 30 frames minimum 100% of the time. that impressed me. but macs don't have easy customization on their side.

and for that, PCs win in my book. i just open mine up, take out a part i don't need or like anymore, and throw in a freshly ordered new one that will totally tear anything i give it a new bunghole. not to mention...the commercials mac puts out just sicken me. a guy claiming he couldn't figure out where the frigging power button is? COME ON! GET WITH IT PEOPLE! YOU LIVE IN AN AGE WHERE YOU EITHER HAVE A COMPUTER OR YOU DIE FROM INTERNET WITHDRAWAL! PCs==win. there is no substitute. My System: Ezekiel

| Personally, I'm a fan of PC. Even for multimedia production, that's right. Adobe makes such great products for PC multimedia, and even some of the cheaper programs out there are good. I don't know why people always say that PC's don't do well for multimedia publishing. Just because the multimedia programs that come bundled with Windows are clunky junk doesn't mean that the rest of them are. I also like the fact that PC's have a more open market for hardware and software. That and the customization that link mentioned. Beautiful. |

| i have used one, but never owned one. and from what i saw, i wouldn't really want to either. customization and overall similar performance wins PC over for me. you can't really change parts in a mac. not unless you send it in and have it upgraded for you. i'd rather be able to fix it myself if something broke or was becoming redundant/slow. with a mac, you either do the aforementioned, or you buy a new one. and given how expensive they are, i'd rather custom build a PC with the money i would've spent on the mac. you can get top of the line equipment for how much macs cost. 1800 for a friggin laptop? screw that. |

| Well, I'd assume now that macs are Intel based that you'd be able to at least swap out the CPU quite easily. But hardly any have a PCI-E slot, and who knows how easy they are to open up (my guess is: not very)
