I know it's not computer related but I thought, best post this anyway, you never know.

Quote:
We are appealing for your help to find PHIL ATKINS who has not been seen since Sunday 19th April.

(IMG:http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b246/najw/Phil.jpg)

Phil is a member of the All Wheel Drive Club and Steward of the Howlin’ Wolf Challenge series. He was in Lincolnshire last weekend for the club’s XTC event.

After having a lift back to Egham in Surrey with a friend he collected his car and left for his flat in Bracknell but has not been seen since.

He complained of feeling ill over the weekend and we know he tried to make a doctor’s appointment on Monday morning, albeit unsuccessfully. He contacted a friend on Monday evening and said he was still felling unwell and was going to bed early, however he was not at home at that time.

Phil has been reported to the Police as a missing person.

His car is a Black Mitsubishi Shogun Sport like this...

(IMG:http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b246/najw/Sport.jpg)

His registration number is LA 56 LJL

Please could you keep your eyes peeled for this vehicle and if you see it report it to the Police.

Please also post this message on any other Forums that you frequent. We need to use the power of the Internet to spread the net wide and find Phil.

Thank You

I have been through and deleted a number of comments in this thread as they are not in any way constructive.

This is an off topic forum, so this thread is perfectly acceptable to be here, and if, by some chance, someone did recognise this person, then it would be a good thing, right?

No replies are required in this thread unless they are constructive...

Dang Server, I always miss the good stuff. Although, constructive is relative is it not? Some would say calling someone a rat bastard is not constructive. On the other hand if the person really WAS a rat bastard and didn't know it, wouldn't it be constructive to inform them?

But back on topic, have they found the dude Jimmy Hat?

I hate to say this if you know the guy (Although reading the OP you linked to I don't think you do), but it is factual..

If they havn't found him or got any idea yet it's unlikely they will... missing persons are usually found in the first twenty-four hours or not at all

Of course that's unless the police pick up on something, like a flight booked in his name say.

Fingers crossed eh

Cheers for deleting that, comments like that never help, i only read the first one but still. (if you could pm me them and the usernames so i know who made them thatd be good?)

Nah i dont know the guy, but i thought if there's half a chance then it's something worth linking to. Sadly they havent found him yet, and also sadly 4d i think you're probably right there but it's worth a shot.

Fingers crossed like you say though, good luck to 'em...

The conversation just carried on with whether this was on topic enough, and a couple of useless comments. Nothing interesting.

Fair enough, i should think it is on topic enough with this being the OFF-TOPIC section but there we go.

But good news... They've found him :) now safe and well at home, so sorry for clogging up your forum with details of a missing person, it was very bad of me, and thanks serverguy for moderating it, and everybody who replied sensibly!!
