First off, I love Lotus. I would rather own a lotus than a Lamborghini any day. I dont plan on getting this one from this dealer (they want $62,000) and my budget is about $40,000 (i can find it for only $35,000. I know, as mature grown up's on here will tell me i don't need it, and that its just something to give me temporary feelings of superiority, but i don't see it like that. ever since i was 8 years old, i have idolized this car, even before i know that it was even remotly a good car. so in other words it could be as good as a ford pinto and i would still love it. anyway, without furthe adu, here is the car,

Damn... I want one of those..

Looks like it will drink a lot of petrol... The price of petrol is at an all-time high over here in England (mainly tax). How much a litre of petrol in the US ?

Yeh she's a beauty!

I'm in love with that car. Wow...completely just...wow.

And gas here is pretty high (for us), and it's been coming down lately. Right now (in Nebraska, which has had lower gas prices than the average for a while now) it's about $3.50

Which is nothing in England I'm sure. Even when I lived in Germany 4 years ago it was something like 3 Euros a liter. Insane.

And the Americans freak out at $3 gasoline. Solution = BUILD BETTER CARS.

I'm not worried about gas. it will continue to go down. the US has been given permission to drill for oil in places where it was once banned to do so. From what i hear, if you add up all these "Banned" places oil together, you get more than what we were using in the first place.

Yea, it's a nice car, but I have to confess, I still prefer this one. although that rearly is a fuel eater, with an 8 litre engine.

yes, i love that car too, but its so un practical. when actually racing it at hi speeds, the tank of gas will run out in like, 20 minutes (OK, thats not the 100% accurate truth, but it gets my point across) the car i'm getting isnt great on gas either, but at 17MPG city, 22MPG highway, it beats most SUV's and Vans.

edit- lol. insurance will cost a bunch, but i have yet to find an instant quote on a website for insurance (ie: Alsate, Geico, etc) for any Lotus car. I'm guna have to call them and find out.

double edit- in fact, my Moms Boy friend has a Lamborghini, so i think he would know a thing or 2 about the Insurance rates. I'll jest ask his professional opinion.

and a Mercadis Bens (has night vision on it for the night- i was like, WTF? mom, he doesn't need that on a car -_- --I aint joking about that either, that's the weird part) anyway, yeah, he restores them. he restored his Ferrari that he found in a barn, but sold it a while back. He's some sort of big shot CEO er something...

edit- I'll be sure to post pictures when i can.
