I have bought from Savastore in the past and had no problems. Every order arrived in a day and was always complete. Having read about the nature of their take over I now need to rethink if I will continue with them in their new guise. Having read that they left debts of £3.5 million and various customers are left without their orders. In spite of their statement to the contrary they are not answering. With the small name change to Saverstore do they not appear to be taking the proverbial? When I was surfing the new web site I would get messges that my IP was on a list of banned IPs and didn't have permission to enter. I wonder if those IPs are those that they owe money or components to. Ethically I feel that I should not support a company that treats customers like this. Does anyone have any views on this. If the price was right would you deal with companies like this, ethics going out the window, or would you take the moral view?

Business has never been about morals. Its simply about making money. Its that simple.

But i, as a consumer, recognise that i can purchase pretty much anything i want to from a plethora of merchants whether online or on the high street.

Where a company doesn't recognise that consumers are very wise and are more than aware that they can purchase an item from various merchants, well, they're kidding themselves that they'll be making many a sale. Word of mouth gets round quickly, especially about bad service.

Merchants, in general, pay at least lip service to customer service in all its forms not because they want to (its costs money and eats into profit margins) but because they know we demand it.

I never put a purchase simply down to price, that would be ludicrous considering some of the items i buy (Cameras, mountain bikes, pc bits). Any company that can gain customer loyaly so they give repeat business is always doing something right.

Bit of a disjointed reply there mcbee, apologies. I'm a tad drunk :D
