Default PC Magazine going online only?

CAN YOU BELEIVE IT!?!? The almighty PC Magazine is going online. Never to print an issue again! I just got my last issue. They think of everything! They gave me two copies.....and they are both in bags. So I will only open one and save the other one as a 4reminder to my favorite magazine company EVER!

Good Bye PC Magazine

-even though I can still read you online...

It won't be the same!

I miss you already!

so.....what do you guys think of this?

Sign of the times I suppose. That's the first computer magazine I ever bought years ago and I had a subscription for a while. I prefer the magazine to the online part. They tend to follow the money in their online write ups and ignore a lot of good free stuff.

Also with the economy advertisers are cutting back, print will be one of the first hit as it has a low ROI, compared to others. No ads no income no magazine.

well, the ads are pretty heavy in this magazine, so that would be nice to get rid of.

Newspapers are already feeling it and are probably next, soon.

People are also moving to reading online much more, which is a big part.

Some of the largest and oldest Newspapers in the US are on the brink of bankruptcy.

Man, This is the last thing us printers need. The printing Industry is dying a slow death!

I have been doing Graphic Arts / Prepress for printing companies for the past 14 years and every year it gets slower and slower with companies going out of business...

What is a printer/prepress man supposed to do?
