There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

ive got a m8 that fits the bill
There was this guys once called Ralph Barr who's generally seen as the father of computer games - although some sources state that it was Nolan Bushnell who founded Atari that is the father of computer games while other souces are pointing to the students of MIT etc... Anyway, that's not important... The fact is that this Ralph Barr geezer at one stage was working for Matell and they were doing some early development of games consoles/computers.

In order to test the foolproofness and rigidity of the systems they built they asked kids from a local school to come in on certain afternoons and play around with those new electronic gadgets and they were asked to do everything they could to get the systems crash. In the beginning it was all mayhem, but as the developers learned from their mistakes and came up with further improvements it became more an more difficult for the kids to actually crash the computers.

There was this one kif however who had an exeptional talent to break computers. No matter what the Matell engineers tried, this particular kid seemed to be either such and idiot or was so talented, he could crash any computer they gave him... Now you can all guess what the name of that kid was... Apparently it was the one and only Bill Gates.

Not sure how much is true about this story though but I had a big chuckle when I read it.

Cheers:
Chris

That reminds me of this articule i once read
Gates v Ford
At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated,
"If Ford had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon."
In response to Bill's comments, Ford issued a press release stating:
"If Ford had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics"
  1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash........ twice a week.
  2. Every time they repainted the lines on the road, you would have to buy a new car.
  3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.
  4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.
  5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.
  6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light.
  7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.
  8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
  9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.
  10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off.

Can you blame Ford? IMO the guy at Ford who came up with the idea for this particular press release deserves a medal. Have read this one so many times but check time I get a smile on my face. How right they were...
