The jury's still out on the iphone, in my house. I think it would be great, but I don't know if I want to spend the money they're going to cost to get one.

I read a review, it's touch screen. Sticky and dirty fingers + Touch screen = Big problem.

How many people use a phone as a phone nowadays anyway?
Granted they're now trying tout them as 'all in one' devices. But this usually means they're compromised on one area or another. Digi-zoom only cameras, 80mb mp3 players etc unless you purchase a phone supposedly dedicated to one extra use, like the Sony Walkman range. Personnally I don't know anyone that rings anyone anymore. Everyone texts. Discuss!

I have a O2 zoom phone "free with contract, and i cant find a dam picture of it " anyway i only text with it, its worth about £60 but it gets the job done :D

I don't think the Iphone is out yet. But I don't see me getting on. Not at that price and you're right I would think the touchscreen would just be more trouble in the end.

My W950i is touchscreen and it doesn't get smudged. Granted, it has stylus, but i'm forever using my finger or thumb.
But even if it did you can wipe it with a lens cloth or a tft screen wipe. No biggy. You can also purchase transparent stick-on pads for the screen. Quid a pop.
