hmm, i agree with bubba! it would be a slick project to have a go at, given the time, money and patience! i also imagine it would be rather hard to access components for upgrade!

As a question though, anyone got any idea where i can get my hands on one of the pci-e 16x extenders?

kinda, im looking for a cable, just not just a card to change the angle. If you look on the first page of the mod, its labelled as 7. Kinda hard to explain..

For number 7 it says:

7. This worthless 15-inch custom PCI-E cable did not work—so we replaced it.

So in light of that, tell me how much you want to spend (you also get to pay for shipping and handling) and I will send you a worthless 15-inch cable that does not work..............

Classic.

My mate down the road has one, that he uses, so it must work ok, I'll try and find out what it is/who makes it

Edit:
Don't forget, you'd likely have a nightmare with timings - especially if it's for a graphics card...

http://www.criticalcables.com/items.asp?Cc=Riser&Bc='

Links there for a list of risers and extenders (obviously you want the extenders) for both 32-bit and 64-bit.

I couldn't link directly as it's too dependent on what you want exactly
