 Sony Brava Tv Sound Wont Come Out of My Surround Sound System

hi i have a sony brava tv (KDL-40S3000) and a sony sourround system (DAV-DZ230)
my problem i am having is my tv sound will not come through my sourround system but it does come through when i play a dvd....
the dvd player does have hdmi and i have tried ...

hi i have a sony brava tv (KDL-40S3000) and a sony sourround system (DAV-DZ230)
my problem i am having is my tv sound will not come through my sourround system but it does come through when i play a dvd.... the dvd player does have hdmi and i have tried it with that 2 also i have sky plus reciver 2 dont know if this makes a difference... also i would like 2 know if i can connect my ps3 through it 2 ..... many thks.. |

Sony Brava Tv Sound Wont Come Out of My Surround Sound System
I believe the Sky+ Box only outputs stereo via HDMI so you will probably need to use the optical output to get 5.1 from it.

Sony Brava Tv Sound Wont Come Out of My Surround Sound System
I just did a bit of research on the DAV_DZ230 and it doesn't appear to have any auxilary inputs, so an optical cable wont help you .... have a read of this thread, which may be helpful.

thks for the reply i still dont understand it i had a look at the page....
from what i can tell i have to have a hdmi and scart in at the same time and it will work |
