hi i have a sony brava tv (KDL-40S3000) and a sony sourround system (DAV-DZ230)
my problem i am having is my tv sound will not come through my sourround system but it does come through when i play a dvd.... the dvd player does have hdmi and i have tried it with that 2 also i have sky plus reciver 2 dont know if this makes a difference... also i would like 2 know if i can connect my ps3 through it 2 ..... many thks.. |

I believe the Sky+ Box only outputs stereo via HDMI so you will probably need to use the optical output to get 5.1 from it.

I just did a bit of research on the DAV_DZ230 and it doesn't appear to have any auxilary inputs, so an optical cable wont help you .... have a read of this thread, which may be helpful.

thks for the reply i still dont understand it i had a look at the page....
from what i can tell i have to have a hdmi and scart in at the same time and it will work |
