Default Things to consider when starting out...

I see plenty of guys and gals on the web promoting their "business", though alarmingly few are actual businesses and even fewer have any kind of insurance or legal protection should they make a costly error.

What are your tips for starting out as a business on the web? Even though things are fairly free flowing, doing things properly will not only keep you safe legally but also keep you in the tax man's good books. I've seen far too many people end up on the wrong end of lawsuits and the Inland Revenue and strongly advise anyone to be careful on the web, even if it is only a part-time freelance job.

I'd have to agree, doing things right costs less than you think, the main issue is the extra paperwork. Better to be safe than sorry i say.
