Is it that however it be just ends.Start something else or anew?,so be it.Would like to know the scope of just how it becomes.Many things are said though just for an addition to old threads or rather no responses in awhile,at times theres the simply stated closed.no further addition required.All and many closed or not I find with great interest.Really not my business.Just a note,so be it.

They are closed for various reasons.

Bumping an old thread will get it closed. Any information is most likely of little use to the OP (original poster) so it is better to start a new thread or just don't respond.

Spam threads will be closed. It may not be apparent that it was spam after editing. Same with torrents or illegal activities being discussed. They will be closed sometimes with or without explanation.

The competition thread was slowly taking a hostile tone, so it was closed. (my opinion)

We try to be fair, but sometimes locking a thread saves members and mods from saying something that is simply not appropriate.
