I'm seriously thinking of doing some traveling.

Me and my bro are considering doing the Mongal Rally in 2009 http://mongolrally.theadventurists.com/ but i fancy getting into something sooner.

Just curious if any of you have traveled and what experiences you had.

Only thing I've done is lands end to john o'groats, which doesn't really compare.

Got my passport yesterday. Am itching.

I have NEVER been abroad, some of you must have been somewhere?

Never been outside the US. And not very far in the US either.

im the same way evilfantasy and ive never had a passport i always wanted to go out of the contry the only time i did was when i saild to canada but we never docked

Oh, abroad. Yeah, been abroad many a time. Thought you meant travelling as in backpacking, that sort of thing

Ibiza, Aya Napa, Corfu (a number of times), New Zealand.

And I'm saving to go storm chasing in the u.s. Probably not 2008 now, more like 2009.

scuba diving and skydiving would also be fun

Been scuba'ing a few times in Corfu. Absolutely loved it. Can only describe it in one word: "Tranquility"

Went to skydive once but bottled it in the plane, trying to face my fear of heights and I froze. "Noooooo -edit- way am I stepping foot out -edit- there!" I believe my words were. Got it on a tape somewhere.

I hate flying, really. Some of my friends compare it to a bus. But I compare it to hell.
