1. Is it possible that I can use a VCR's tuner with a HDTV that doesn't have a tuner?2. I assume that the VCRs have inbuilt tuners3. Since this VCR is old and has probably a NTSC tuner, will I be able to get off-the-air HDTV channels?Any links for HDTV tuners (stand alone) will be helpful.Thanks.I am not recording anything. The purpose is to avoid buying a external tuner. Sine VCRs have inbuilt tuners (clarify if I am wrong), I assume they should be working. Am I right?

yeah its fine you are recording the signal going into the video, but if you have a HDTV get a dvd recorder otherwise the quality is wasted !
