Hey,

Sounds like most people here are either at school / college or are in some kind of managerial / freelance work!

I'm at the bottom of the working ladder! (Well nearly) I'm a HCA / Treatment nurse at a minor injuries unit in a notoriously violent area of West Sussex! I'm not a qualified nurse just had various training courses. I do plaster casts and wound cleaning / dressing, phlebotomy and blood pressures etc.

Would like to set up my own business at some point but I have to find something I'm good at that I can offer people! Something to do with old VW's would be perfect! I'm gonna have to learn how to weld I think!

Hey Kris.

Don't sell yourself short "Bottom of the ladder" my behind. You're treating injuries. Utmost respect.

Alex - Cheers for the 'big-up' dude, I'm just saying it didn't take me much to get here, Just a few courses and 3 years of employment with the sodding NHS!! Wish I'd slugged it through college instead of bailing out! - LESSON TO ALL!!!

Maria - I'm flattered! I spend most of my non-working day talking about you women!

mcbee - what a sweet job! I've always wanted to get into rallying but never had the money!
Could you tell me roughly how much it would be to prepare an old VW beetle!? All the engine / drivetrain I would do. So the roll cage and windows and whatever else!

Unfortunately money is the main input. To prepare a Beetle for rallying it would have to be built to period specification and rallyed in Historic rallies. That makes it more difficult to do. To build it just for fun well, the sky's the limit.

Indeed the sky is the limit!

I've drawn up a couple of professional sketches of my beetle design, maybe you could let me know what you think? I really should go into the design industry!

Thats me driving.... obviously.
