Default What do you do mostly on your PC

I mainly use my computer for studying/typing up college work, surfing the web, chatting to friends, listening to music, watching movies and shopping

Oh and I love playing with settings :)

Well I'm back overclocking now, got my new rig pretty much all buttoned up, new mobo, new cpu, new gpu and new monitor.

Am noseying around at water-cooling bits though, gonna price that up and do some plumbing.

What kind of rig did you get? Aiming for 3.6 I would say you bought a E6600 or something like that!

Got myself an Asus Commando mobo Social, very oc friendly. Also laid my mitts on a X6800 second hand. Too good a deal to pass up and no way was I going to pay retail for that cpu.

Was going to upgrade my monitor anyway (got a Samsung 244T) but due to the native resolution I needed a much more powerful card than the 7900, so I got a 640mb 8800GTS.

Nice, Wow with a native resolution of 1920x1200(I think) I nearly would have gone with the 768 just to be sure, if you game that is?
I was thinking about setting up water cooling myself, but I could never bring myself to spending that much money for a degree or to less over a good HSF, especially living in this part of the world were ambient temps aren't that high anyway, apart from this time of year!
But it does look pretty sweet though

I do game, but not the newer titles. I'm into C&C, Empire at war and LOCK-ON, that type of stuff.

Yeah, i was tempted by the GTX but i'm going to oc the GTS anyway, and except for the stream shaders i'm betting i can get it close to GTX speed, or near enough. Just couldn't advocate paying that much for a graphics card, especially when i can save a packet by buying the card i have and just overclock it. I reckon that if I get a decent oc i'll lose about 10%-15% in games over the GTX, just an estimation as its oc-dependent, but considering the cost of a GTX over a GTS i'd be happy with near that.

The 244 does have a res of 1920x1200, can't tell you how unbelievably happy I am with it. Been saving pennies for the past few months to get it.

Hi there - i do the usual stuff, forums, blogging, gaming, emailing, shopping, photoshop, make movies...

Thinking of getting into second life but i'm not sure about it all - looks confusing! I saw a thing here where two people who are married in SL are getting married IRL-and they have NEVER met?! Bizarre huh? http://preview.itv.com/Soaps/WebLive...s/default.html

My wife and I are big contest enterers. We have won 3 trips, Orlando, New York and Washington D.C. A 40 inch HD LCD Tv, LCD computer Monitor, Xbox, all kinds of DVD's. And on and on. We use the On-line Sweepstakes (OLS) contest site.

Play PC games, talk on Forums, I am big into Retro Gaming ie. Doom, Quake, Heretic, Duke Nukem and so on.
