Just thought I should ask the obvious question? Anything you bought and regretted buying?

For me it was a universal remote control with far too short a battery life, plus only about 32 learnable commands on top of the built-in ones, so it was pretty useless. When I bought it you could update it over the internet but you had to download a bunch of codes at a time, not knowing which you needed. When I installed the second bunch, it froze and only had a software reset (inaccessible) and no hardware reset. Removing the batteries didn't cure it either.

Mike, I'm with ya. Novelty value and all that. Mine could even open and close electric blinds should you have them.

Needless to say it got ebay'd.

LG make an internet fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and air conditioner. They are supposed to be networkable and accessable from any internet enabled PC. Why, LG, why, do you think we need networkable kitchen appliances? When you have to go up to the washing machine, say, and put the washing into it before migrating to your desk, booting up your computer and setting it from there? Why do I want to do that? Obviously I haven't bought any of them but if i did i would definitely regret it.
Oh btw if you get any learnable universal remote (especially the sony touchscreen ones) you can teach it to control anything remote controlled.

agreed, im sure my life would be alot straight foward without them lol, less distractions so id more stuff productive

id say the same for TV but i dont watch it anyway, only fools and horses etc when its on but i hate reality shows which seem to be on all the time now!

anyway back on topic, i was given a palmone, handheld computer, its pointless tbh, too big to use as an mp3 player, too short of battery life for anything,,, just as a digital calender really ....... i only use it (which i dont to be fair) i only TRY to use it because i feel guilty if i dont lol, gifts put so much more weight on your shoulders
